About Dr Maha
Dr Maha Hashim graduated with honours from Kings College London, the top ranking dental school in the world (Guy's, King's and St. Thomas' School of Dentistry) in 2007. She was awarded the prestigious Newland Pedley Medal for a thesis and case presentation in her final year and also the David Frank Sturdee prize for Prosthodontics.
Her education from Kings College London provided her with the foundation to be able to treat many complex cases where she has transformed patients' smiles to make a great positive impact on their lives and she is very happy to have been a part of that!
Putting patients' interests first has always been her work ethic and drive for dental excellence. She does her best to provide her patients with unsurpassed quality care, an honest assessment and treatment that they need.
Communication in multiple languages with fluency in English and Arabic has been very helpful in Dr Maha's practice and a good understanding and simple communication in French has also been an advantage.
Dr Maha is known for her gentle and empathetic approach and manner. She has helped many nervous and anxious patients overcome their phobia of dentistry.
Dr Maha believes that continuing to improve her skills and knowledge is important and thus has completed her certification in Six Month Smiles® braces and Invisalign® braces which has helped patients achieve a straighter smile in a shorter period of time compared to conventional braces.
Patients feel more confident in Dr Maha's more conservative approach to achieving their 'perfect' smile which includes many successful cases involving composite bonding techniques. These are cosmetic white fillings that are placed on the teeth without the need for drilling them and if drilling is needed, it is very minimal. Every person's need is different and thus after a comprehensive consultation, every patient will have their own customised treatment plan that will help them achieve a healthier and more beautiful smile.
Treatments
Dental Examination
This is to establish the health status of your mouth including an oral cancer screening. X-rays may be required to aid in confirming presence or absence of disease
New Patient Exam £75
Gum Treatment
It is very important to maintain healthy gums for keeping your teeth longer. Diabetes, heart disease, obesity and smoking are high risk factors that affect gums. Dr Maha will check this and customise the correct treatment for you.
White Fillings
Since European legislation is moving towards a mercury free world, it is recommended that we use tooth-coloured fillings which range from highly aesthetic, highly polished fillings that resemble natural teeth to the more medicated type that release fluoride which are less aesthetic
Veneers, Crowns and Bridges
Dr Maha has over 17 years of experience with these restorations used to restore function, aesthetics and vitality to the smile. Different materials are available depending on patient request, budget and suitability
Bruxism
More commonly known as teeth clenching or grinding is a very common issue. There are different approaches to try to reduce the symptoms and effects of grinding and these are discussed in detail at your consultation.
Smile Makeover
Dr Maha Hashim has had many cases where she has helped patients enhance their smile! Coordinating with an orthodontist and implant surgeon if necessary to restore function and beauty of a natural smile
Teeth Whitening
